I received a Louisiana transfer degree from Bossier Parish Community College in biological science. I earned my bachelor of science in chemistry with a minor in biochemistry at the Louisiana State University-Shreveport. I began tutoring friends as a means of studying together while at LSUS. We worked together to prepare for upcoming exams or to review before class. My friends looked to me for other ways to explain the course materials when they struggled to understand. We also found our study groups to be more productive to our learning than doing it alone. I am adept at tutoring several different subjects, but my preferences gear towards anatomy, biology, and biochemistry. I can work with students in advanced placement, as well as on level, courses. I work hard to give the students I tutor the tools they need to improve their knowledge and execution of the course materials. I let the student choose what I teach them, whether they need help on their homework for physiology or they want to review that day's coursework in chemistry. When I'm not tutoring, I can typically be found at the gym, where I play basketball, lift weights, and run the track. I also enjoy reading and playing pool.
